AHAR

ASICS High Abrasion Resistance rubber is a tough compound used at the heavy contact areas of the outsole. It helps to reduce excessive wear.

AHAR+

ASICS High Abrasion Resistance rubber is a tough compound used at the heavy contact areas of the outsole. It helps to reduce excessive wear. AHAR+ is a lighter version of the general AHAR.

a-symmetric heel

A slightly angled and a-symmetric heel that offers smoother transition from impact to take-off. It also reduces the risk of overpronation.

Biomorphic Cool

Biomorphic Cool technologies maintain a cool condition by eliminating heat and quickly responding to a rising body temperature.

Biomorphic Cut

Biomorphic Cut is an innovative cutting and seaming process for fabrics resulting from extensive research on the movement of the human body, its goal is to maximize freedom of movement.

Biomorphic Fit

This technology is incorporated into the upper where the areas of highest deformation are found. Biomorphic technology ensures a better fit, improved comfort, less risk of injury and enhanced performance.

Biomorphic Motion

Biomorphic Motion technologies enhance movement and posture, by controlling complicated movements of the skeletal system and muscles during excerise.

Biomorphic Protection

Biomorphic Protection technologies protect the user from rain, wind and UV rays. The user can also be protected from bacteria and odours.

DuoMax

A patented ASICS system that consists of two different density midsole materials designed to provide smooth over- pronation control.

DuoSole

Outsole construction that offer light weight, flexibility and traction.

DuoTech Cold

Thermal regulation feature keeps the user warm when it is cold.

DuoTech Rain

Water repellent for protection on rainy days.

DuoTech Warm

Moisture management system keeps the user cool and dry on warm days.

DuoTech Wind

Optimum wind-blocking for windy days.

DuoTruss

For improved arch support and torsional stability, this dual density stystem is softer on the later side and firmer on the medial side.

DuraSponge

For improved arch support and torsional stability, this dual density stystem is softer on the later side and firmer on the medial side.

GEL

GEL elements are strategically placed in the midsole enables optimal shock absorption and accommodates specific foot functions and positions.

I.G.S.

Impact Guidance System. This is a technical shoe design which allows the athlete's foot to peform in a more natural manner. ASICS high-tech I.G.S.shoes are constructed in a way that enhances natural "gait".

Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is considered to be the future of athletic footwear. The application of nanoparticles, which measure only a few millionths of a millimetre, made it possible to alter the surface structure of shoe’s upper to resist water without the need to use any coatings or layers of additional material. Thus the shoe remains exceptionally light and flexible.

PHF

PHF or Personal Heel Fit, is made of a high density foam which molds perfectly around the shape of the heel and Achilles tendon, decreasing slippage and improving comfort and fit. PHF adjusts to the differences in individual heel shape and structure, thereby providing improved comfort and stabilising the foot within the shoe.

Propulsion Plate

This is a special innovation for the forefoot allowing efficient forward movement.

Rock Protection plate

Protects the foot from sharp objects such as rocks and branches.

Solyte

Proprietary cushioning material that provides an exceptionally lightweight midsole with excellent bounce-back and durability.

Space Trusstic

An advanced system that creates a pocket between the Trusstic sytem and the midsole, allowing for greater midsole deformation and more efficient foot function.

SpEVA

A supreme midsole material that improves bounce-back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown.

SpEVA Lasting

ASICS reinvented the lasting method in the way the upper was attached to the sole. SpEVA was introduced to improve cushioning and/or stability through the use of different densities. Depending on the precise purpose of the shoe different densities of SpEVA are used ranging from SpEVA 45, SpEVA 55 to SpEVA 65.

Trail Sensor System

This interactive decoupling system makes sure that in every position during trail running there is surface contact. This allows for excellent stability and support over the differing surfaces encountered whilst running off road.

Transition Sole

Found in the midfoot, this technology allows for a smooth, stable and controlled transition from forward motion to side and backward movements.

Trusstic System

A molded component under the mid-foot providing stability, and in combination with the contoured midsole, helps to control torsion
